There are many famous singers in the world. For many people the sultry and powerful voice of Celine Dion is one reason to listen to her songs. This Canadian born singer is very popular with a range of fans the world over. Her songs which are contemporary in nature belong equally pop rock and pop music. Celine’s songs have been sung both in English and French. You will find that of these numerous songs the majority are sung in French.
The very beginnings of Celine’s career started when she caught the attention of music manager René Angélil. He was moved by her song so much that he mortgaged his home to fund her first record. The name of that song was “Ce n’était qu’un rêve” which in English means “It was Only a Dream”. After this debut Celine became known to international audiences when she participated and won the 1982 Yamaha World Popular Song Festival.
From this beginning Celine Dion has released numerous songs. These songs are ones which have been influenced by R&B, Classical, Gospel and even rock music. The influence these styles have had on her music is profound. The various songs which have been performed by Celine Dion show this influencing style. You may have heard songs like “The Power of Love”, “Think Twice”, “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now”, “Because You Loved Me”, and the Titantic theme song “My Heart Will Go On”.
